Great rice depending on how harvested
Most times I ordered wild rice was great. Has a slight smokey aroma in a way most of the time. But this one time I ordered the rice smelled like str8 up grass and earthy which was very unpleasant. I make a delicious wild rice with this

This is THE best Wild Rice
All these years I thought I was eating wild rice not knowing that it was black because it was cultivated. This rice is hand picked and parched and it reflects in the texture and taste. I also love that it is shelf stable and so easy to cook. I honestly don't even cook brown rice any more, Wild Rice is it. Not to mention the cultural signification behind this rice and how it sustained the Indian Population in times of famine. I respect that.
