"Wild" Wild Rice
This wild rice is hand-harvested from naturally growing stands in the northern Great Lakes Region. The taste and texture is far superior to the cultivated wild rice that is available in grocery stores and on-line. There simply is no comparison. It also cooks in about half the time. While it seems expensive, a little goes a long way. It is not much more expensive than the cultivated varieties. Purchases supports the indigenous communities who have exclusive rights to harvest the naturally growing rice. It is easy to order from Moose Lake. Prices are good and order fulfillment was timely and efficient.
