I regularly order the Lake & River Wild Rice from Moose Lake Wild Rice; it is very good quality and the order process is simple. I no longer live in the great state of Minnesota, however, I can have a taste of it sent to me ... yay!

this is the real deal. I grew up there. my first 20 years. don't think about finding better. do it this way: add rice to a cold pot, add cold water, guess how much, excess is ok. heat to a rolling boil, cover, let sit until room temp. rinse with cold water in a strainer. should be done, but, if you like more tender, repeat, though, not necessary with this rice. really cooks in 15 minutes if the burner is left on for the entire time. think about the old way rice was cooked. a hot stone from a fire put into a birch basket with water and rice.
