Hand Picked parched wild rice
Just bought one pound as the quality of this sort of product can vary. Opened the box and the smell of great wild rice came out. Looks good too. We spend winters in SC where they do not know about great hand picked and parched wild rice so I was looking for a good online source when we run out of our supply that we bring with us. It looks like I have found it. (We haven't cooked this yet, but I see no reason it won't come out the way we want.)

Best Rice Available
I realize it costs more for this product, and that "cultivated" rice is less expensive, but, in my opinion, there really is not comparison, and the extra cost is justified. If you are going to make a recipe that calls for wild rice that is not the main part of the dish, then it is okay to go with the cultivated. But, if your recipe is for wild rice that IS the focus, (like my wife's Wild Rice Hot Dish), pay the extra money,, and get the "wild grown," and "hand picked." It is so much better, and so well worth it. Besides, it's an American-made product that supports Americans, and the American economy. Would could possible be better than that?

I love Moose Lake wild rice! It is a very clean rice, no twigs or debris. This rice seems to cook a little faster than other wild rice I have tried and has a great flavor.
I will continue to buy my wild rice from Moose Lake.
